Football Team

Gaelic football has been synonymous with Mattock Rangers since the foundation of the Club in 1952. Mattock Rangers have competed at every level, starting off at Junior Level and progressing through the ranks to our position now as Senior Champions.

Our Role Of Honour has dappled success with many near victories but it was in 2002 that our Senior Team finally landed the Holy Grail of the Joe Ward Cup with our first Senior Championship in our 50th year of existance.

This was the breakthrough we needed and we progressed to the Leinster Final that year but unfortuantely fell at the last hurdle. Since 2002 we went on to appear in three more Senior finals winning two of them. Hopefully we can maintain this standard and live up to the title of Team of the Decade for the Noughties.

Mattock Rangers currently fields two adult teams (Senior and 2nd Division), Under 21 and also Minor grade. New players are always welcome.
